In early December 2016, twelve members of the Iowa Superfund Research Program participated in the NIEHS Environmental Health Sciences FEST in Durham, North Carolina. Over 1200 people attended the first-ever sciences FEST.

As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) hosted researchers, trainees, young investigators, community partners, and stakeholders from across the United States.
