bu and isrp

On September 8, 2016, Drs. Andres Martinez and Keri Hornbuckle of the University of Iowa Superfund Research Program (ISRP) traveled to Boston to meet US EPA Region 1 and Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection staff for the first time and share results of initial analyses from the collaborative air quality monitoring project at the New Bedford Harbor Superfund site (NBH). The projects pairs the ISRP, the Boston University Superfund Center, and the Toxics Action Center.

Funding for the project comes from the NIEHS Superfund Program. Initial results were shared at the meeting, and a follow-up meeting is being arranged for November to share final results. This a great example of collaboration between centers and the affected communities.
